If I could give zero stars for any doctor ever, it would be Erin Ramirez. I went in and was diagnosed with endometriosis. Unfortunately, I am also allergic to all of the birth controls she has me try to help with any severe symptoms. When none of those worked, she recommended me getting the surgery to remove some of the growth. She mentioned all the risks that could potentially happen around my uterus or ovaries and such. When I came out of the surgery everything seemed fine. After a day of not being able to eat or use the bathroom, I called to see what I needed to do. She told me that was normal. A few hours later, I started throwing up stomach bile that was black. Then my boyfriend at the time called them again and told them what was happening. Again was told it would pass. The very next day I was so sick and dehydrated and unable to talk that we called and got the on-call doctor who said we needed to get to the ER as soon as possible. When we got there I was completely delusional. I couldn't form a sentence or answer any questions. I was in and out of consciousness. They put a picc line in my neck and rushed me to surgery. After hours of operation, they came out to tell my family that I was lucky my diabetes made me super sick or I would've died instantly. They had discovered that they cauterized a bleed that occurred during the endometrial surgery so much that it killed the tissue and created a 3 inch tear in my rectum. I was BEYOND septic. Any stool that I had ended up going into my stomach instead of being able to go to the bathroom. After being on a ventilator and days in a medically induced coma, I woke up to a giant incision and a colostomy bag. The surgeon who saved my life had to literally rinse off my organs and stomach and cut off some of my intestine. Later we found out that she was not properly trained on the machinery she chose to use on me. She tried to blame it on anything she could to say she did nothing wrong, yet when I finally came out of the coma she paid for someone to come in and give me a mani/pedi in the hospital. I was still so in and out of consciousness due to the amount of meds I had to be on. I was in the hospital for WEEKS. Those weeks lead to months of hospital visits. I lost my jobs. It messed up my college education. She has not had to pay for anything she has done. I now have severe gastroparesis, a gastric stimulator placed due to the amount of nerve damage from all the surgeries I have had to continuously go through since (9 surgeries and will have to have on every 3 years). I would never recommend Dr. Erin Ramirez to anyone. She was careless and unapologetic. I also am not able to have children, which is why I started seeing her in the first place. Good luck on your career knowing you have ruined someone's life and I hope no one else has to face this. Considering the malpractice coverage you have that makes it impossible to sue and pay for any of the medical debt and added debts that occurred from this. I pray no one else uses her for this kind of treatment and if you do, I pray she has finally gotten trained how to do her job correctly.
