Gannamaneni Gastroenterology

I have been a patient of Dr Gannamaneni's for 5yrs along with my husband, Dr. G. is extremely knowledgeable & caring, would highly recommend him to family & friends.

I did not have a good experience at this office. Dr. Gannamaneni didnt listen to much of what I had to say, hounded me for answers that I told him I didnt know several times, and a month and a half later has still not completed the tasks he was supposed to do even though Ive called the office to remind HIM several times. The office staff are friendly and nice. Thats the only upside. I was taken into a room and awhile later Dr. G walks in. I told him why I was there, my conditions, my current treatment, and my concerns with my current treatment from my previous GI. I felt very disregarded as the entire appointment became focused on one detail about my last provider and not my current concern. He hounded me and repeated the same question about a medication at least 10-15 times I didnt know the answer too. I was exasperated and told him that I wasnt a doctor and I was just the patient and only know about the medications Im currently taking. The appointment ended with Dr G wanting bloodwork and he asked if I wanted to do it here or elsewhere. I told him I wanted to do it here. Im left in the room and no one comes by. A nurse walks by the room, comes back, and says I can come to the front desk. Confused, I leave my purse in the room thinking Im going to get blood work and will be returning to the room momentarily. Nope! Im taken to the front desk and theyre checking me out for the appointment! They ask where my preferred place to get blood work done is. Nothing was really achieved during the appointment and I walked away feeling frazzled and uncomfortable. On top of all of this, Dr G was supposed to call one of my current providers to discuss new care options, as my current solution is failing, and he didnt do it. That was a month and a half ago. Ive called a few times since and Im told that hell make the call and he hasnt. Meanwhile Im getting sicker as my health has taken a turn for the worse but I dont want to go back to that office. Im finding a new GI.
