I applied for the front desk position as a patient rep. first phone interview went great! second virtual interview went great! I was asked then by the manager if I could come in the office to meet the staff? I came in the next day and was really happy to meet everyone. The office is all women and only one nurse of color, I myself am a woman of color as well. I sat and talked with the ladies who all seemed to be warm and nice. I really had butterflies in my stomach because It been 2 plus years since I had a job and I could really see myself there. I asked the manager to walk me out the door and I asked her a few questions. She left me with I know you would be great here, but I have another interview this afternoon, and if it made me feel better? she then says that I was the only one that came in to meet the staff. next statement was that I would hear something back by the following Monday. So all weekend I was praying and believing for a call Monday with a job offer. So Monday come around and I get a call from Jason the guy that I had the first interview with. And in his voice I immediately picked up that this wasn't the call that I had hoped for. He let me know that the manager Erika couldn't decide between the other candidate or me? and so she wanted me to have a 3rd virtual interview with her manager who turned out to be not her manager but a ex manager. Wow at that point I was in disbelief never in my years of working had I ever been asked to do a 3rd interview. What else was there left to say was I expected to do? beg and plead for the job. Anyways, I had the 3rd interview that ended up being okay but I did get kind of emotional and I couldn't believe that I did that on a interview? But just losing my mom 2 months ago and the nurse/ interviewer mentioned hospice and I moved my head from the computer camera because I burst into tears. I couldn't believe that happened and I immediately apologised and explained my tears. They both were on and the manager had tears, I guess I could add the fact that they have taken me through hoops at this point that I was probably pretty worked up inside. Long story short I was assured that I was human and that it was okay, the ex manager also stated that my crying had her nerves settle down about the interview and that she was really glad to see my transparency and to meet me. fast forward to now a week later and I am still unemployed :( Talk about a major discouragement I don't even want to apply anywhere else this was just a tortures experience. I can't help but wonder is it because I am a woman of color? Is it because I may have been a little to real? I don't know but all I can say is it's their lost because I would have brought my work ethic, excellent customer service skills my willingness to learn and adapt as well as excellent time management and computer skills. Plus I am really a nice person who loves to share and give just because.

Stephanie Ross NP although is nice and polite she will not see a patient regardless of insurance status and in fact get an employee fired for this!!! This NP was blatantly mad at seeing a patient that was active with insurance and to find out she really didnt want to see him. What kind of NP that takes an oath to care and treat patients to not take care of a patient ? Just would not advise to go to this clinic as they talk badly about their patients and overall just doesnt seem to care.
