Home Instead

Home Instead was recently a HUGE help in providing 24/7 aid care for our mom with dementia. While we as a family were frantically working on getting mom placed into a permanent facility, mom's dementia took a turn for the worse and we realized we needed to get aid coverage for her 24/7 until her permanent placement could be determined. We worked with JJ Nance who facilitated all the paperwork and got the aid shifts scheduled for us asap. JJ was a pleasure to work with! In fact, we were so impressed with JJ because in order to cover all the shifts we needed on such short notice, he even reached out to another quality competitor aid agency to cover a few afternoon shifts Home Instead was not able to cover themselves. This worked out beautifully, and we were so grateful "competition" was set aside for the benefit of us - the customer in need. JJ kept his focus on getting us the the aid coverage we needed when we needed it! Most of the shifts were covered with Home Instead Aids, and two aids who really stood out were: Chyna and LaTorya. These two kind and caring ladies were so patient with our dementia mom who was super confused a lot of the time, not always pleasant to handle, and did not sleep well either. Although the Home Instead aids go through a basic Dementia training course, it takes special people to really be able to care for someone with dementia, understand how to communicate with them, how to keep them calm, and when to keep them active. Chyna and LaTorya are two very special people!!! We want to express our sincere gratitude to Chyna and LaTorya, as well as to the other aids who covered a few of the shifts for our mom. It was such a relief to know mom was being so well-taken care of during the two weeks we needed 24/7 coverage.I highly recommend Home Instead in Lafayette, Indiana!

My family is so grateful for Asenith at Home Instead. Our Mother adores her and she has become like family. Many thanks for giving us peace of mind that Mom is being very well taken care of and loved.
