Google sent us to the closed location. When we got to the right one it was too late to go find our own tree. We also thought the trees they had cut were over priced!

This was our first time at a tree farm and Cassens' was a great place to visit! Size wise the farm is pretty substantial. They have trees of all shapes and sizes. Staff are friendly and helpful. Prices are available on the website so you can have a look before going. They have some cute decorations in the barn area (indoor and outdoor accessories). Even though we didn't end up buying a tree, it was a fun outing and one that I would recommend. COVID-related: social distancing in place and everyone had masks on. Much appreciated!

Great place to cut-your-own Christmas tree! Love the fir trees which smell awesome!! Great for families. They will mount on tree stand if you want. They have equipment to shake off old needles, and bind up tree to load in the car. Have come here for a few years! This is a small family business.

I do not want to come off negative, I just want to give other customers a heads up about this tree farm (I went to the West Lafayette farm). The website listed fir trees 7-8 feet tall as $70 to $90. As we walked around, we didn't find one 7 foot tree for $70. I saw multiple trees about 4 to 5 feet in the $60 to $75 range. My friend got a 6 foot tall fir tree for $90. If you want a 7 to 8 foot fir tree for the 2019 season, expect to pay $110-$150. I found a 7 foot fir for $110, and that was the cheapest I could find at that height. Unlike some tree farms I have visited, they do not have a sled or anything to pull the tree on, from the field. You have to carry it back, which can be difficult if your tree is taller than you. Consider bringing a tarp to drag your tree on, if you don't want to carry it. The West Lafayette farm didn't have the height of the tree listed on the tags. They also do not send you out with some form of measurement. So, you may consider bringing a tape measure to be sure of the height. The netting they use for the trees doesn't make the tree significantly smaller, like I've seen other netting do. It wasn't a huge problem for me, but if you don't have a lot of room to fit a tree in/on a car, it is something to consider. Also, the netting here does cost $3, and if you want to tie it to the top of your car, you're in charge of making that happen. I wouldn't say it's a bad tree farm, but I would say these are things to be aware of before you go. The pricing not matching up to the website was a major let down for me.
