I absolutely loved my stay at Market Street Inn when I was traveling to Louisville for a conference. The ambience and atmosphere is cozy, elegant, and welcoming. My stay was very quiet (this isn't a child-friendly hotel, which I appreciated) and also felt safe. The owners are kind and helpful. I felt well taken care of, and my dietary restrictions were handled well for the delicious breakfast each morning. I highly recommend this Bed & Breakfast especially to professionals and couples traveling in the area. It made my travels feel much more comfortable and special. Rooms: The rooms are all unique and each has its own theme. It's clear a lot of thought has gone into the decor, including antique furniture and oil paintings. Mine also had a huge bath that was very deluxe. Safety: The house is protected by a code to enter and is always locked Walkability: The area is a neighborhood, and there's a cool old railroad bridge nearby that's perfect for walking/running. Food & drinks: They make breakfast for each guest to-order. They handled my dietary restrictions really well and listened well to my explanation.

I can't say enough about this wonderful place and centrally located for our activities. We stayed here for a wedding weekend and it was incredibly nice. The inn keepers and chefs were knowledgeable of the area and could give advice. It was warm in the cold. The breakfast was wonderful, and a custom made with a souffle each morning. The rooms were clean, and linens were changed each night. The bath was spacious, and there was lots of room for two. The house had a wonderful history, and though she felt historically, she in no way lacked modern needs. I just wish it was closer to florida, then it would be perfect. Rooms: The rooms were clean, and linens were changed each night. The bath was spacious, and there was lots of room for two. There was also a wonderful sitting area. Nearby activities: Check out the classic candy shop. Safety: The area was very clean and appeared safe. With off street parking. Walkability: We walked touring the market street to the mainstreet area on Saturday and had a nice time Food & drinks: Breakfast was very nice. we scheduled a time to come down and ate in the dining room.

Lovely staycation for my birthday! The details and charm of this B&B are exquisite. The building is beautifully historic, the room was excellent, and the breakfast service was personalized and delicious. The bed linens were quality with a very comfortable nights sleep, and the bathroom amenities were luxurious from the shower to the jacuzzi tub to the fancy lou! The location is perfect, too! There are lots of restaurants and shops within walking distance, and the walking bridge is right next to the B&B.

My husband and I stayed to celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary. While the home and rooms are beautiful, the experience was truly disappointing. We had hoped to get away to a relaxing, peaceful, and romantic bed and breakfast. Instead, we listened to a screaming child and glass breaking from shortly after check in up until 9:00 pm. We were on the third floor with the TV on and still could hear him from the first floor. Breakfast was disappointing as well. Despite being asked in advance about allergies for the menu and explaining I'm allergic to eggs, the main entree was a souffle. We usually have amazing spreads at bed and breakfasts, and was disappointed that I was left with only waffles. Instead of leaving an hour later for late checkout, we opted to leave an hour early at 10.

What a wonderful experience. Far superior to your standard hotel stay, very personalized and intimate, from the warm greeting from Carol the owner, to a breakfast spread that has already lasted most of the day, it couldnt have been better. Imagine a historic property with modern conveniences adding while preserving the charm. And a super short Rideshare across the bridge to downtown Louisville if the abundance of restaurants and bars located a few blocks away dont suffice. Definitely a great stay. Nearby activities: Many restaurants and bars a short walk away
