Elizabeth A. Case, MD - University Obstetricians-Gynecologists Coleman Center

I've been very happy with the care I've received from the Coleman Center. I've had to schedule weekly NSTs and the nurses do their best to make the frequent visits pleasant. Nurse Julia has gone out of her way to answer questions for me, and I love my OB, Dr. Scott.

The "support" I received from every layer of staff at the Coleman Center during the first part of my pregnancy was nonexistent. Being a minority woman who asked questions seemed to be an annoyance to them. Each time I spoke to the same person, it was like I was talking to a stranger. Some conversations were only one week later. We have charts - review them before you call us back. I felt like I was a burden and inconvenience. I was lucky enough to transfer to IU North, and literally from the first person I saw to the last, everyone was welcoming and encouraging. They never made me feel as though I was just someone to check off the sheet for the day. The Coleman Center needs to learn from IU North. I would never refer anyone to the Coleman Center.

The worst place ever. They are so disrespectful and really dont care about pregnant mothers or their babies honestly. They literally just do what they have to for the money. Now i cant switch doctors because Im too far along in my pregnancy but this will be the last pregnancy or child i have with IU. They are ridiculous.

The staff and nurse at the Coleman Center are so friendly and I felt happy and positive about changing hospitals until I met Dr. Alissa M. Conklin. My appointment with her was my husbands first time attending my appointment with me so he was very excited. This Dr. Alissa M. Conklin has us completely lost for words. I dont know if she was not informed that I was a brand new patient and I knew little about their hospital but She was rude, told me that I should not be pregnant again, rushed through my appointment so fast any question that I asked I was interrupted and answered with rude remarks. It was embarrassing because I told my husband good things about the hospital. I know my birth will not be easy but I should not feel like a burden to them for that. Due to that appointment we had yesterday I will not be a patient at this hospital anymore. I asked serious questions about my labor and she told me she would have to eat her Wheaties before performing my c section. Just absolutely unprofessional.
