They say first impressions are everything and I am thoroughly impressed with the staff at Freeland. From the front office, to the technician, to the veterinarian, everyone there is doing an amazing job. Im a new client and just brought my Shiba Inu, Chowder, in for an exam. Hes coming up on two- hes been seen at another fear free clinic and then came with me to work as a puppy (I worked at an animal hospital). I wanted a change because no one at his prior primary care ever seemed excited to see him and I wanted him to go somewhere that at least pretended to care lol. I asked his first doctor for a Gabapentin script when he was a puppy to help train on nail trims as shibas can be on the dramatic side. I gave him a Gabapentin dose for his first vet visit where he wasnt coming with me to work and it was a new place. Nothing remarkable happened during that exam. I debated giving him his doses for our first visit to Freeland because I was curious to see if he would be okay without. He was not and Im disappointed in myself for not preparing for an easy first time. I was emotional seeing him have such a difficult time, but what made me feel better was how understanding and caring the staff was. Dr. Arnold was great at reassuring me that my dog is not bad and that they would work with Chowder and I to come up with a plan going forward to make his visits a more relaxed experience. The technician was showing Chowder love the entire visit, even though he was not making their jobs easy. The technician also shared their experience with their own dog which touched my heart. I also appreciated that they knew when to call it quits. We tried a few times, but they never were forceful. Reflecting on the experience, even with the tears, it was good. It let me know that I found a good place with good people that will take amazing care of my pet. These are the kind of people that belong in veterinary medicine. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new primary care for their animals.

Very carrying staff and very skilled doctors. This place really cares about your pet like it is your child. And they have a new app where you can schedule appointments which is really handy when your pet gets sick after hours. I used it this past Sunday to get a Monday morning appointment for my sick pup.

Ive been bringing my boujee pets here since I moved to Indianapolis in 2017. Freeland Animal Hospitals customer service in their scheduling coordinators and vet techs is phenomenal. Each time I go in, they rave about me having the cutest pets ever (which is what I of course strive for). Lucy Bea (Pomeranian) needed an emergency surgery and they got her in immediately for significantly less than the emergency vet wouldve been. Willa Bea (Himalayan) & Posey Bea (Persian) both got spayed and thanks to their loyalty program, I was able to save $200 off my final bill. Whitney is absolutely the reason Ive stayed with the vet even after moving further away. Honorable mentions for Anna & Kelley, also. Each time I come in, they make me feel like I am their only patient. True angels for our fluffy babes. Yall deserve the world. Xoxo
