image I stayed here for 5 days and decided to join outpatient. The experience was worth taking to time to let others to find a different place to go. The groups were childish and very unhelpful. They didn't seem to have any clue how to help people there with mental health issues. The outpatient was completely one sided towards drug addicts yet would random drug test me and not the others who openly spoke about using drugs while being on their addictive prescribed medications. Outpatient is full of spoiled adult brats who had no clue what a hard day is really like. I had 3-4 therapist during outpatient. Was so frustrating how awful they all were. Judgmental sexiest are pathetic

image My son spent 6 weeks in the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) after he started having suicidal thoughts caused by major depression. This program completely changed him with the help of meds but the IOP teaches coping skills and emotions and what to do when we feel those emotions. It was amazing to see these kids changing right before your eyes. Family therapy is integrated with it and part of it Is just venting with the other caregivers in the caregiver group therapy. It was amazing to have support from strangers and learning whats working for others. My husband and I completely immersed ourselves in it and totally changed our parenting styles and discipline techniques. It changed all of our lives. Theres also nothing scarier as a parent than this time. Its a crisis. We wouldnt have made it through without getting therapy for ourselves. We cant thank the stress center enough for changing all of our lives!

image These people do not care about your wellbeing. Take yourself elsewhere if you get the opportunity. Do not go to inpatient here.
St. Vincent Stress Center is the worst mental health hospital I've ever encountered. I was admitted in 2021 and am still at a loss for words to compile into a review, but I just ordered my discharge summary and am extremely frustrated and wanted to write this in hopes of providing clarity for others.
I was seen by Noelle Carter, Brian Quinn, Blair Roti and Rachel Tizzano. I still don't know who discharged me. When I was discharged I was extremely confused and essentially "kicked out" for being "noncompliant". The hospital left me discharged and unaware of what medications I should be taking after prescribing me a heavy antipsychotic, a sleep aid and an antihistamine.
I had signed the voluntary discharge papers but no one explained anything to me clearly at the time of discharge or leading up. I had an episode where I was, again, paranoid and irritable, the night before my discharge and it is not documented anywhere in my chart. My last half day was my worst day there in terms of behavior and paranoia and they did nothing to comfort or assist me in my coping skills I was asking to work on. These behavioral issues coincide with the time I started the antipsychotic that I was prescribed without a bipolar diagnosis.
The nurses treated me horribly in terms of compassion unless I was being totally submissive and compliant.
I remember asking to be seen by a doctor and the only people I was seen by were NPs. I had no trust of NPs at this point due to past history with medical professionals and was there for about a week; in my opinion a doctor should have seen me at least once.
Also would like to mention: St Vincent Stress Center deals with psychosis on a daily basis. They should not have religious ideology and symbols throughout the inpatient portion of the hospital. People have real trauma that can be triggered by these symbols. From my experience before I left the hospital, I was wondering if I needed to repent to get me out of there because it was so hellish.

image I was seeking impatient stay, and after a particularly bad experience at the state run psych ward, Im disappointed to say that this place might be just as bad or potentially worse.
During the initial interview I was told by the social worker on staff to chill out dude. First lm nearly 30 years old, give me the respect I deserve as Im not a child. Second, Im having a mental health crisis. Why would you ever speak to someone like that?
I was given a new social worker a few days later from Anthem, and when I shared this story with them they were shocked and disgusted to hear how a so called professional would speak to someone like that. If you dig into reviews here, youll see allegations of isolation rooms and other frankly disgusting mental health practices.
Said social worker also said that my insurance wasnt good enough, which I thought was funny considering the we help the poor sign above their front desk.
Management called me a few days later to set up the only therapy they could do for me which was 4-6 weeks of group therapy, starting at 8am during the week, and with no reliable transportation if youre unable to drive. I told them that I was extremely disappointed with my service, and they were admittedly super apologetic.
While I appreciate the apology, it seems there is a massive gap in quality control here so be aware of that.

image I went here after a suicide attempt by overdose. My experience was so awful I almost believed that my attempt was successful and that I had died and gone to hell. Ive been to other hospitals, known people who work in other hospitals and met people whove been to other hospitals. This stress center is very unfit compared to other hospitals. I have a history of extreme migraines. I have been prescribed medications for these migraines. The whole time the only medication they could give me was ibuprofen. Other hospitals have been capable of giving me my medications. Dr. Fletcher is insecure and unqualified. The entire staff did nothing but try to protect his ego whenever someone said something about him. A staff member told patients not to talk about him if it wasnt positive. Therefore we had to stop talking about him because no one had anything positive to say. We had a journal full of workpages to complete. One page asked us to describe our experience each day at the stress center. I had to redo every single workpage of the journal twice just because I mentioned Dr. Fletcher. I didnt even say anything rude or inappropriate about him, all I said was he made my day worse. Dr. Fletcher screams at every patient the first meeting. The patients who have been there longer warn every new patient so they can emotionally prepare for it. My second meeting I was yelled at for not speaking loud enough, not completing my journal fast enough, not making eye contact, and not participating in group enough I have autism and learning disabilities. I have never spoken loudly, made consistent eye contact, or completed work at a fast pace. Besides, who would complete their work quickly when its their first day at a hospital and they have a migraine that they are shaking and about to pass out over. The only time i ever didnt participate in group was when I fell asleep during movie time (we were watching A Bugs Life, of all movies) and I had fallen asleep because I hadnt slept in over 24 hours due to my overdose, and had a painful migraine that I was never given the correct prescribed medication for, I was uncontrollably shaking and was never even allowed to rest. All because the staff thought watching A Bugs Life would be significantly more important to my treatment (it wasnt important, or even an enjoyable movie) Again, compared to other hospitals, this is abnormal. The staff constantly used the excuse Its a hospital, its not meant to be enjoyable for anything that happened. I do understand that hospitals arent usually enjoyable but atleast other hospitals arent this unbearable. I was never able to eat or sleep the whole time I was there because I knew that I would have to wake up and still be there. I genuinely have no idea why most of the staff here show up for work every day if they arent gonna do anything of use. Like I get you need the money but at this point some of you just need to find a new career. I watched a white staff member call a black patient the n word. Jamie and Kacey were my least favorite staff there I just kept praying the would clock out or something but they never did. Every time I said something they felt the need to join in as if I was talking to them. They were extremely rude. Hated it here. Some of yall need to be in different careers.
