Staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful over the phone. If this is the tone that is used to represent the facility its apparent that the building is poorly managed still.

One of my oldest friends was incarcerated there for three weeks until his wife pulled him outwith black teeth (from eating chocolate pudding!), bad sores on his legs, and not at all functional from hard drugs. He was left in a wheelchair the entire three weeks because the ambulance delivered him from the nursing home in a wheelchair. This place needs to be investigated by the DHHS.

Our dad was transported to Assurance Health for Alzheimer's. The next morning the SWs told me hes fine and nothing wrong with him and hes being released. Then I told them that I was there with the nurses from a senior living home to evaluate him for transfer. I explained everything that has occurred to him over the years that lead up to this point. Then they tell me that they are not done evaluating him. I asked where the doctor is because how can you make the decision right here on the spot. Then we go to the CEO/CFO and file a complaint. They will lie right to your face. These people are snakes. The police informed us that this place is crooked and that they are corporate gold diggers. This is not the first time that the police have been involved with this facility. They are keeping our LO for the money. They were shut down a few years ago and they reopened. So, I have Temp. guardianship and they wont talk to me. My father is not a nice Alzheimer he is verbally and physically abusive to us. Nobody will listen at this place. They said in court that there was nothing wrong with him. Yet the medical records state that dad has dementia/delirium, confusion, incontinence, angry, liable, not in touch with reality, doesnt know whats going on with mind, easily redirected, easily redirected to maintain safety, depressed, partially cooperative, impulsive, verbally aggressive, obsessive compulsive, required full assist with ADLs daily, and they forced him to pray when dad doesnt pray or go to church. They even said he had dentures and a foley and my dad has never had them. We spoke to the doctor once and never saw him in person. My dad told them we were taking his money and house, which was not true. We ultimately lost in court. Dad is free to live at home on his own. Nobody cares anymore. We only wanted to care for him like we have done for most of his life.

My husband with dementia was admitted for shouting out at his memory care unit, but was ambulatory and eating very well. They "assumed" he was not ambulatory since he arrived by medical transport in a wheel chair, and I only found out after directly asking if they were helping him walk. (The chart from nursing home said ambulatory). He was supposed to be there 7 to 10 days. After more than 3 weeks, this facility had reduced him to a zombie. He had lost 15 pounds, lost the ability to swallow, lost ability to walk, and had severe dehydration requiring hospital admission. HE RECEIVED ABSOULTELY NO ORAL CARE WHILE THERE. His mouth and teeth were ENTIRELY black and crusted with old food when admitted to the ER. Facility also has a ONE VISIT PER WEEK FOR 25 MINUTES policy, no exceptions. There is no way to be an advocate for your loved one with this kind of visitation policy. There are NO CELL PHONES OR CAMERAS ALLOWED. You can only bring in your car keys and your ID. I couldn't even bring pictures or a photo album! What are they hiding? DO NOT ALLOW YOUR LOVED ONE WITH ADVANCED DEMENTIA TO BE ADMITTTED THERE!
