I dont know if that clinic does not pay well to its employees o what, but the doctors are rude, customer service employees are rude. This should be like the worse health center ever. Besides the never fricking pick up the phoneeee and when they do they are rude (surprise surprise)

As a new patent I have tried to schedule an appointment here twice. Once they canceled it because the doctor was out of town the day of the appointment. So fine, I reschedule, but theres no times available for about a month. I make the next appointment, and again they canceled it the day before the appointment because they had double booked. Very inconvenient when I literally have to take time off of work every time to try to make these appointments. Very unprofessional, very disorganized.

I'm a long-term patient as an unemployed adult with disabling chronic pain, and I go to Shalom for my GP, therapist, and psychiatric NP. All team members are wonderful. They work together to cover all my bases, and depending on what issues I'm experiencing they collaborate to navigate things to figure out how best to help me. Dr. Wiersema is the best general practitioner I've had, as well. She consistently works to get me in to efficient specialists and refuses to give up on my myriad of health mysteries. This is a very rare thing for doctors, in my experience. The staff are all supportive of LGBT+ patients, and when I talked to my therapist about my dysphoria she added my preferred name into my files. Not once has a receptionist deadnamed me since. I'm never anxious going into appointments, and I never get the impression that they're somehow disappointed in me. Shalom is the best facility I've ever encountered in respects to minorities. I can forgive scheduling and technological issues, because the staff here actually cares. I can't say that about many other healthcare facilities.
