Appt was 810. It’s now 905 and I’m still sitting up front and waiting on an appt…… finding a new doctor ASAP.

I went with my mom for her appointment. We were told that they don’t have anything schedule for her. It was her second time rescheduling already. The front office lady said the doctor has seen too many patients on that day. My mom is diagnosed with cancer. It was already too risky for her to go outside especially with all this virus going on. We heard everywhere to be extra careful with people with illness. They just let us turn back. What happened to their management? I was so frustrated that I couldn’t say back anything.

I had been with "Dr." Alexander for not quite two years. He had been treating me for a chronic and life-long medical condition. My husband's work sent us to England, UK. I gave Alexander about 3-4 months notice and asked what we need do to do continue my care. He couldn't give me any answers and suggested speaking to many different people besides him. He assured me that he was not going to let me go overseas without medication and proper treatment. A month before leaving for the UK I was in his office and he still had no answers as far as how to go about continuing medication but ensured me it will be ok and he would not leave me "high and dry" as he said it. Around 7-10 days before leaving I tried to contact him and he refused to call me back... Twice. He gave the nurse a note saying he was not going to prescribe me a three month prescription as I requested (although legal and completely within rules and regulations within IU Medical as confirmed for me by the office manager). He did not give me any sort of treatment plan or medicine. I went to the UK and contacted the office again for him to call me as soon as he could between seeing patients. He never did. I called a few days later. Still nothing. My husband talked to him finally and the doctor refused to continue treatment and medicine. I paid out of pocket to see a private pay physician in England as well as pharmacists. The physician and pharmacists in England said that by UK laws, they could not continue my treatment whatsoever because I was not in their National Health System (NHS). I did not qualify for NHS because we were only in the UK for six months. I informed the nurse at my doctor's office of the issue and she said she would tell him. One week later, the office manager called and said that the doctor has discharged me. They said it was on the basis of the "patient/doctor relationship being irreputably damaged". I have not even had a chance to speak with him throughout this entire process since the last time I was in his office in March. I have never lost my temper, cursed, belittled, or yelled. I was just blown away by this doctor whom I trusted who just up and abandoned me without any possible way of seeking care from another physician as I did not qualify for the healthcare system in the UK nor could a physician legally treat me. I was literally stuck in a foreign country with no medical care or continuation of treatment for 6 months all thanks to "Dr."Alexander. Clearly, the oath he took meant nothing to him as a doctor or as a Christian. I am still in shock at his actions and he has depleted what little faith I had left that good doctors still exsist.
