I had emailed here sharing a little bit about where we were and my daughter being recommended for PDA evaluation. I received an email from Samantha that was an auto email asking to book an appointment. Because we've ran into so many not working with PDA specifically I asked if they worked with this type of Autism? She said no and I responded back if she had a referral for it? She became extremely rude and unprofessional stating:
Referrals to? ABA Providers?
If so, we are an ABA provider if you are looking for services for your child.
I asked her if she read my intake email and would be able to point me in the right direction. This is a new world for us and would appreciate assistance. She responds back with:
"Ma'mam I did read your email and the acronym PDA Autism is Pathological Demand Avoidance. However, I was unsure if you were referring to an ABA center by the name of PDA.
So it sounds like you are looking for an evaluation, which we do provide in Indiana. If you would like to move forward with scheduling an evaluation appointment I would be happy to assist you. See the link below. "
There was absolutely no level of professionalism, hearing my concerns as a struggling mother trying to navigate this journey especially trying to find help in the PDA world. Would not recommend this center whatsoever. Extremely unprofessional and trying to just get my $$ by scheduling a call and not actually letting me know if it's something they can even help with.
