        The setting of 1899 is pretty and a nice alternative to the barn look that seems to be popular right now. We had our daughters wedding there almost a month ago now. It definitely allows for the ability to do some things yourself to save money. Overall, the managing company Plum and Poppy left a lot to be desired. We struggled to know how to navigate details of the contract, even after multiple asks. Our daughter was stood up for a final venue meeting to go over details. The person that was supposed to be there never showed and never responded to any communication. Promises made about having enough staff to move the chairs in and out werent followed through on. One person spent 4 hours moving the chairs outside for the ceremony and then she never showed back up to help carry them all back in. My family ended up carrying 250 chairs back inside for the reception. The person they recommended for the bar went AWOL due to not having a true liquor license. He ghosted the grooms family (who was paying for the alcohol) and they lost all of their money. Plum and Poppy knew of this going on and didnt reach out to let any of us know. The grounds were less than desirable. The big kicker was that it was 94 degrees on the day of the wedding. Their refrigerator and ice machine went out several days before the wedding. They attempted to get them fixed but couldnt due to a part needing to be ordered. I understand things happen. But they did not let us know and there was no way to prepare for alternate ways to get ice and for caterers to have a place to put food/etc. None of our guests had ice for drinks. Thats a bad look. I was able to find the contact for the owner of the venue and shared my concerns. He has never responded. While the venue was pretty, the hassle and lack of communication throughout the entire process has left me without the ability to fully recommend this venue or to recommend Plum and Poppys services.

        Went for a wedding. It was a hot day for sure. Air conditioning inside couldn't keep up, making it pretty warm inside. Maintaining the history of the building also means sound wasn't good coming from the dj's speaker.
