I have never bought a vehicle from Moe, but I've had to deal with him through the Henderson Chevrolet dealership in Henderson, Ky... Moe has a working deal with said dealership. When Henderson Chevy has to work to be done on a vehicle for a customer, they give it to Moe. Why would they give it to Moe to fix when the dealership has a team of, "certified" mechanics that work for them you ask? Because Henderson Chevrolet and Moe are in the business of making money off of you at your expense. If Henderson Chevy doesn't want to spend the money to properly repair your vehicle, they send it to Moe. Because Moe will cut corner and jerry rig your vehicle to save money for Henderson Chevrolet so they can continue to make money off of you. He will use parts that he salvages from junk yards as well even if you pay the extra couple of thousand for a high end warranty. He never gives you invoices for the work he does to your vehicle, because the work he does reeks of illegal and poor business practices. Then he will lie to your face about the work he claims to have done, when all he did was rig it enough that he doesn't fix the problem, he puts a band aid on it. How do I know this you ask? Because the vehicle that I bought from Henderson Chey had several problems with it, they gave it to Moe to fix. My truck had engine problems, moe put's in a new engine block and an old junk yard engine. The serial numbers were scratched off of the engine, and the yellow serial numbers that salvage yards put on their inventory were still on the engine. Three of the coil caps on the engine were broke, the engine he put in had several issues with cylinder failure and low oil pressure. I would take it to Henderson Chevy, and they would keep giving it to Moe to "repair" despite my efforts of telling them not to. He rigged up my broken coil caps with zip ties (picture included) when I confronted him about it, he told me it was perfectly fine, and that I was making too big of a deal about it. He even told me that to prevent my engine light from coming on, he did something that he called, "flashed" the motor.. something doesn't exist in the auto repair business. He probably just disconnected the engine light from coming on to save him and Henderson Chevy money from fixing it properly. When I asked him for the invoices from every time he had my vehicle to show proof of what he claimed to do to fix my truck, he told me that he would bring them to Henderdson Chevy the next day. When I went to Henderson Chevy the next day, I asked if Moe had been there to drop off the invoices.. they said he hadn't been there. Henderson Chevy continues to cover for Moe, because he saves them a lot of money rigging vehicles instead of repairing them properly. He will definitely be heavily included in the claim that I'm filing against Henderson Chevy to the better business bureau. So if Moe is doing this for Henderson Chevy, think of what he does to his own vehicles that he sales. And if you do buy a vehicle from Moe, have it thoroughly inspected by a third part mechanic. If Moe repairs anything on your vehicle, make sure to make him give you an invoice, because he is required to by law. If he doesn't give you one even if you ask, he is breaking the law and doesn't want you to know that he really didn't fix anything at all.
