Cork 'n Cleaver

This place was our first official stop in our eclipse trip to Evansville, Indianna. James was amazing at the bar, and we were able to get in and get amazing service, and exquisite food without reservations (keep that in mind if you look at this restaurant!) We stumbled upon it in a magazine at the hotel, was rated number one in 2023 and they weren't wrong. This establishment was classy, timeless, and has been around for a long time. 10/10 would definitely return if in the area, I mean, look at the menu. It is on a cleaver!

Cant rate the Food, Service, and Atmosphere just yet, but trying to get a reservation was abysmal. They never answer the phone and dont have an on-line reservation system. When they did eventually answer the phone, they were curt and arrogant. Ill come back with more stars if the experience at the restaurant is better than their phone manners.

The food was delicious, I had the salmon with blue cheese sauce and their rice. The salmon was divine. Most of the time I regret ordering rice from America cuisine restaurants, but this rice is really flavorful and doesnt taste like out of the box. The server never checked with me to see if I needed anything else , hence the 3 stars on the service.

This restaurant was incredible and I would award more than 5 stars if I could! Our server, Lisa was the best server we've had in a long time. Very cool and quiet atmosphere with a German vibe. Great salad bar, the mushrooms were fire and the black and Bleu salmon was amazing! I want to make a special trip to go back soon!
