The group with Upright - Larry and his crew Sean and Jason - were wonderful to work with. They were very skilled and very helpful with all our questions. We had extensive electrical work done and feel very confident now with our 100 year old home being safe. Our front porch was also replaced and it looks great! Would recommend this group.

I was referred to Upright by my realtor 7 months ago to remedy some inspection repairs when selling another home. There were several minor repairs that had to be done within 3 days to keep the original closing date. Larry arrived at that house the same day to assess and quote the repairs, I approved and he had the work done the next day. I've owned another home for two years now and had a list of things to do with it and decided to have Upright quote it again. The quote was very reasonable and there has been a crew of 3 working on various projects for five days now. They show up when they say they will, they do quality work and their experience is evident. We ran into an issue yesterday. The house at one point had the AC compressor and duct work in the attic. When a new central air system was installed the old unit and ducts were just left in place. Removal of that unit was one of the tasks. Upon starting that project it became apparent that the old unit was still connected to a 240V live circuit. It was disconnected capped and the old unit removed. I noticed mid day that the newer central air A/C no longer worked. Jason was doing other work on-site and notified Larry. Larry had Shawn, I'm guessing their electrician, on-site within the hour. Shawn introduced himself and asked for a description of the problem and the locations of breakers, the new unit, and the previous location of the old unit as well as the outside unit. He said "Gimme a few minutes to investigate" It took him about ten minutes of running around, crawling up in the attic, testing circuits and tracing wires before he approached me and explained... Shawn realized that when the new unit was installed, whoever installed it just spliced into the existing signal and voltage lines 'somewhere' to feed the new unit in the closet below. Instead of rerouting the power that supplied the defective old unit - which still had live power connected when they started the removal. When they disconnected the lines and removed the old unit above, it also removed power to the new unit which was simply spliced in to those same lines. Shawn explained what the issue was and had even taken pictures and videos of the lines and splices in the attic to show me. He then explained what he was going to do to remedy the issue and within thirty minutes or so had the power restored to the new unit with the power lines properly terminated in a junction box instead of being exposed as they were before to prevent any accidental contact or fire risk. I rarely leave reviews. It seems 'mediocre' has become the norm and acceptable these days. The crew that has been doing the work for me along with the responsiveness, communication, and quality stands out. I'm impressed with Upright and every person I have met on their team so far. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
