Worked here for 6+ years and had a great experience. There is a lot to learn in the MSP world, and this environment allows you to experience a wide range of networks/setups. Great management, knowledgeable IT coworkers. (Delicious coffee and an espresso machine in office. I love coffee so I felt I must include this)

quality of service varies wildly, given what seems a high staff turnover rate. management seems more interested in defending underperforming staff than addressing customer service issues.

A very much hit or miss organization.  They hire someone good, that person leaves.  Then they hire someone not so good who you have to deal with.  The management in general seems more interested in defending the actions of staff who have made mistakes than to actually consider practicing good customer service.  You would be better off to find a 17 year old to help you, on average, they know more

Very difficult company to work with. I notice a good review from a year ago. That may have been true then, and for internet service only, but not now. There are many more problems than these, Im just listing the MOST frustrating. I am 2.5 yrs into a 4 yr contract with Nomad Technologies. During this time, starting the very first month, this has been my experience. 1. LONG response times. Typically 4-6 hours. Though there have been some shorter and some much longer. This may not seem long but when you use your computer for almost everything, and it happens many times a month, its very frustrating. 2. Faulty equipment. The worst problem was the computer they leased to me that housed my Quick Books. Ive used QB for 12 years with 3 different companies and have NEVER had 1 minute of problems with connectivity, printing, sending tax payments etc. Since I hired Nomad, these problems are AT LEAST WEEKLY. The last time, they finally determined that the leased computer housing my QB had some kind of corruption that was intermittent and finally crashed entirely. The hard drive had to be rebuilt, causing me to not have access to QB for 3 entire days. This is a long time when you use it for everything. And within an hour of the tech leaving my business after fixing the hard drive, the manager called me to tell me THEY were cancelling the service part of my contract, yet I STILL HAD TO KEEP PAYING FOR THEIR FAULTY EQUIPMENT. I just had to find someone else to service it. 3. Monitoring equipment for requesting a service call didnt always work. There were MANY times when I had to put in more than one service request using their monitoring icon and then finally call when I got no response. We have several icons on our desktops from where different techs had to use these because their equipment couldnt connect to my personally owned computer and one of their own computers they leased to us. And the router they leased us? A bandwidth of 600 for 9 wireless devices. Well below what was needed. 4. VERY bad attitudes. During the 2.5 yrs with Nomad, I have been yelled at, lectured that I didnt know what a good response time was, condescended to (are you sure the computer is on?) And made to feel stupid. When I related that to one of the managers, his response? They make him feel stupid sometimes, too. Instead of using faulty equipment and paying some other IT company to fix it, Nomads equipment is in a box and Ive bought new computers and a router with the correct capability for my business., while I continue to have to make payments. With all the IT companies out there, choose Nomad Technologies at your own risk.
