Westwood Apartments

Great place to live! Edit: after living here for about 7 years in a total of four different apartments. I had my rent raised or proposed to be raised every year after I moved into the apartment I planned to stay at. The move into 2024 i was sent in a letter to me that I would need to cough up another $50/mo instead of the $20 it had gone up in the previous two years. I was able to look over a lot of things living here including: 1. poor yard care 2. bad, loud, and obnoxious neighbors constantly 3. horrible conditions to park your vehicle (which management would never clearly mark extra lots as GUEST PARKING) tenants are supposed to only park in the closest spots. 4. never got a single air filter replacement on my furnace/ac in the 7 years i lived here in ANY of the 4 apartments which the majority of those i lived in for at least 2 years. 5. bringing up how horrible my ceiling was in my bathroom when any kind of refresh any apartment i moved into had a coat of paint on top of the 6 coats, or the paint over every single air vent so the flow could not be adjusted at all, i have included pictures of the deterioration of the ceiling in the bathroom I had living there for almost 3 full years, turning on the fan that barely worked every time i took a shower. at the end of all this, i had made sure my apartment was cleaned up, any pin holes filled in the wall, and clean for them to come check out and send me my deposit back. I put down $300 as a deposit for the last two bedroom I got, left it in a clean and empty condition as i had gotten it. $125 GENERAL CLEANING FEE off my deposit. for what.. yeah thats black mold starting with all that moisture i asked to be fixed after it had gotten to way less than the extent it is in the pictures. Though for the price of this place it was not horrible for a place to sleep and keep my belongings. I even was very happy with most interactions with property management, but it seems as if the people who seemed to somewhat care about their tenants who pay on time every month and dont make trouble, didnt want to do anything to keep me around as a good tenant or treat me fairly after leaving. Never got charged anything before moving out of any of the apartments id previously occupied and got my whole deposit back 3 other times..

I've lived here for two years. Never had an issue with anything. Neighbors are all cool and the staff is helpful. I moved here when RENT WAS UNDER 500... I'm moving for work and a similar square footage apartment is over 1000 . You can not beat the location, neighborhood, and peacefulness Westwood brings for that price. Is it perfect? No, But good luck finding a better bang for your buck.

If you go in through the entrance to the right, you can see what looks like a Jimtown porch that covers the center of the walkway. Very tacky. The manager is rude and hateful Most Apts. have not been updated in forever, would not suggest this property for anyone,.especially if you have children, manager is not a person that likes children!

I live in Westwood. I love it here. It is so quiet and peaceful. I have the cutest little apartment just perfect for me. The manager here is very thorough and sweet. The maintainence men work so very hard and are very kind. I enjoy walking around the complex for exercise and can walk up to walmart in 15 minutes.

Not the most modern but reasonable monthly rent. Quite nice neighbors. If price is your main concern move in here. Eric from Lombard IL
