Horrible life changing experience. I not only lost all earnest money I also lost a $500 appraisal asked for days prior to a botched mortgage. Incompetence within this office lost my future family home.

In early December I received a letter for a trial period to complete before a loan modification would be granted. I completed the period early. I have documented every payment. I was told to wait 30 days for the new loan documents to be sent. I have informed delivery on and the documents were never sent. I confirmed this with their rep Sylvester. I asked for the tracking number or proof of sending them certified, and he agreed there was none. I was sent to foreclosure in mid April for 'not having the documents notarized and returned'.

My experience with cross country mortgage was the worst. The lenders I was dealing directly with, Mike call Jackson, had very bad communication. He did not make sure my wife and I understood what we were signing and what it meant for us. He locked my wife in at a 3.625 rate, when the rate was 3.25 in the state of Indiana at the time we began our business. He decided on his own to use the PMI money towards our closing costs, which added $3500 on to our closing cost. When he could have included the PMI rate into the loan, which would have raise our monthly payments by $3. He unilaterally made this decision on his own, and the only reason I was made aware of it was because I had another Lender go over our closing disclosure. Mike failed to communicate to my wife and I that we were being charged $350 every time he extended our rate lock. Typed the appraisal report to make it look like the seller was paying $2000 on the closing cost, when in actuality that $2000 was our earnest money that we pay to the seller. Mike was willing to cut whatever corner he had to push this sale through. Ultimately hi fired cross country mortgage because they were putting their interests before ours. Cross your “I†and dot your “Tâ€s if Mike is coming up with your numbers. Please have an independent party review your closing disclosure before you close. And make sure your Escrow account is correct. I reported him to the Bureau.
