4 weeks after being hit by a semi they insure and still not settled for my vehicle damage , police report 100% put their insured at fault ,not to mention that I paid out of pocket for chiropractic care for 2 weeks before I was instructed to call my insurance and sent up PIP claim. The adjuster has been good but getting anything else has been pulling teeth!

Update 1/22/24 Holly my current claims agent has been nothing but friendly & very helpful. Protective covered every part of my injury claim. If I could not get a hold of my agent, I could call the main line and get help. I hope others get better service. Workmans Comp claim. I injured my back at work. My sister took me to ER as I could barely walk. After MRI doc said looks like surgery inevitable & referred me to spine doc. Insurance said no, you gotta go through ProMed, basically PT. I called ProMed & told them my situation & they said they could not help & I needed to go to spine doc. Finally got in to see pain management doc & she said have to see surgeon. She also prescribed me a nerve med along with Norco. Filling the script was a huge pain as the Rx company has to call adjuster to get approval thats IF they could get a hold of anyone. A week later & several phone calls made, my script went thougha week of unnecessary pain! What the heck? I had to get an MRI, which I did do, and a week later, on a Monday, I got in to see him & he recommended surgery over shots & PT. There is a moderately bulging disk that is displacing my nerve causing numbness down my leg & weakness where I cannot lift my leg. They scheduled me for that Thursday. The surgeon office & I both had tried to contact adjuster but didnt hear back til the day of surgery that they were denying me until I went to go see another doctor of their own request. ALL this time, I tried calling Kayla, my original adjuster, but she never returned calls! She returned a few emails in the beginning but now I get nothing. Its been 5 weeks since my injury and here I sit. If I can update, I will sure hope I dont have more damage due to the fact that no one wants to return my calls! Might be a call to a lawyer soon if nothing is done this week!

This is absolutely the shadiest and potentially the worst insurance agency to hold a claim against. Their driver was at fault and they lied repeatedly throughout the process and brought on third parties that had no idea what they were talking about. Theyre still lying in the end by telling me there was a check issued and sent to the repair shop where my vehicle has been for 90 days. They will lie, they are unreliable and they wont answer their phones. Hiring lawyers because of this nonsense.

On November 9 2022 a semi rear ended my car as it was 8 feet off the side of the road. The police called me to inform me and give me the details. I gave those details the next day to this company. I reflect and confirm every complaint given in this list. It has been a year and we are still not settled. Claim # ZA-00034923 I am writing my appeal to the Indiana insurance commissioner now. Protective called me 1 day after this initial post and were apologetic and cooperative. We are settling.

This is based on my own experience dealing with this insurance company, I was injured on the job, I worked as a otr truck driver, and I was unable to return to my job, as a otr truck driver, this insurance company fought me, for years over lost wages, from the injury, they caused me alot of pain and suffering, and most importantly my happiness, I truly enjoyed and loved being a otr truck driver, and it was what I wanted to do ever since I was a child, like my father, getting hurt on the job, sucks it's horrible and nobody deserves it, even worse is when insurance company's fight you for years, and ruins your life basically. this insurance company deals in workmen comp for truckers, if your company has this insurance for their their company I highly suggest you find employment elsewhere, getting injured is random and you can't possibly know when or if it's going to happen, but if it unfortunately does happen to you, dealing with this insurance company is just terrible and horrific.
