Great little escape right in downtown with several bars within walking distance so you can easily stumble to bed.

Wonderful historic building, Airbnb feel to it. Fantastic location. Roomy with extra space and amenities in common areas and great privacy! Loved the Walnut room, traffic noise and all!! Owners provide a great welcome booklet, toiletries and coffee. Thanks PD and Walnut St Inn! I may not leave!

Worst Experience EVER This was the worst hotel experience Ive ever had. First, the inn is a small building on a very busy street. Very hard to find, and parking is very difficult. There is no staff on site, no elevator, very steep stairs, and no fire escape that I could find. The wifi didnt work. I called the hotel (since there is no staff there) and spoke with Tiffany, who told me she manages the hotel from home because Im busy taking care of six kids, I will try to get there in a few hours to check the wifi. When I explained that I needed to get online for a meeting, she said then you should go to a coffee shop. If this wasnt bad enough, the room I had faced a very busy intersection cars were literally 30 feed from my window, honking at each other day and night. The inn is downtown, with lots of restaurants and bars around it, so there is noise nearly all day and night. The hotels approach to this problem: they provide earplugs for guests. The stay-at-home-mom/manager refused to give me a refund (because we require seven days notice for refunds) and was extremely unpleasant to speak with. Additionally, there is no elevator and the stairs are very steep. I have a hip problem and walking up and down the stairs was difficult. Parking is in a dirty and scary alley, and most of the spaces are full (dont know whether theyre hotel guests or not). I wouldnt want to be going to the alley late at night, and the inn conveniently doesnt mention that youre parking somewhere sketchy until after youve checked in. This is the worst hotel experience Ive ever had. Im contacting the Dept of Health, Fire Dept (fire safety issues), and will fight this hotel until I get a refund and am sure that they stop their false advertising on travel sites.
