Just had to remind them of a maintenance call after a crazy heat wave and ours wasn't nn emergency. Not only did this man fix things asked, but found other issues and fixed them at the same time. Best maintenance in Bloomington for sure.

PLEASE READ! Lived here for three years. The only redeeming quality is that its cheap overall, but I have had so many terrible experiences here. My first apartment was absolutely filthy upon move-in, no one was in the office for move-in inspection, missing microwave (we were charged for on move-out), was told later it was our fault for not refusing to move in as if four families waiting in the summer sun wanted to wait around for an employee to actually come and do their job. Sent pictures as proof and they said would go easy on our deposit. Got $30 back. When the old office (the one we could walk to and is now closed) was open the management there would argue with us no matter what we had to say. Would make arguments even though we tried to be calm. Second apartment was a lot cleaner, but way worse experiences. Had a pipe suddenly burst and flooded our whole first floor. Had to turn the water off and it took a few days to fix. Our entire laundry room ceiling had fallen out and the light as well. It took the maintenance team, AN ENTIRE YEAR to finally patch the giant hole in our ceiling and install a new light. They would come stop by to see what supplies they would need and never come back to fix it and mark the order as completed. That happened so many times. We contacted them upwards of 10 times by work order, phone, everything. Even when they finally got it fixed, they didnt add the texture back so there are footprints on our brown ceiling panel now. They also used my personal step ladder while installing it, making it filthy, and didnt clean it when they were done. In fact, didnt clean up any of the mess after installing it. At one point we had a suspicious looking bug in our apartment, so we reported it. Without even consulting an expert, the manager told us we would have to pay for a bed-bug extermination. We had to beg them to send someone out to inspect our place first (because its common sense and we dont have that kind of excess money). It ended up not being an issue Maintenance around the property has also gone down hill in general so much. It takes forever to get things fixed. Public amenities like free doggy bags arent ever restocked and they even took one box down and left the pole. They cant be bothered to weed out the flower beds so giant weeds were growing by our front door. [update: they had a whole squad out here weeding the day after this was posted. Props to them but it did take two years.] Its all so insane and I cant believe we put up with it for so long. Glad were out. My tips: Dont trust that they will keep records or remember anything they tell you and keep a copy of every record somewhere safe. - Even maintenance requests. They changed systems and lost our old records of things they had claimed to have fixed. Send emails confirming what youre told if you have to talk over the phone. Take pictures, ask for itemized receipts ASK FOR THE MOVE-OUT CHECKLIST (they conveniently didnt provide us) when you move in that gives your a breakdown of prices for replacing things and use that to draft your move-in check. How else would I have known we were supposed to have a microwave that they charge $300 to replace? I do want to say, as ridiculous as its been, I have no complaints about individual maintenance workers. I appreciate them and theyre usually friendly. I do think theyre slowing getting themselves back together, but sadly my experience while living here was not pleasant. Be nice to them please, but I do hope we collectively expect better.
