If I could give zero stars I would in a heartbeat. Dr. Shelly Cartwright is an incredibly disrespectful human being and doctor with ZERO bedside manners. She will blame every single thing on your weight and dismiss the thing you actually went in for. Do not go to her if you are interested in receiving help because she will give you anything but that. Shelly- I hope you learn how to become a respectful person and doctor who respects ALL patients and not just your thin ones. You make people feel horrible and it is not okay. As a doctor, your last job should be to body shame your patient or add unwarranted stress onto your patient. Do better.

I had the pleasure of visiting the Occupational Health Clinic portion of the Hospital after injuring my arm at work.. Dr. Baker and her assistants were kind & compassionate and made my visit a positive experience after a negative day. Thanx again ladies!!

Yesterday I went in with severe pain in my wrist. A Dr. Patel came in for maybe 8 seconds, never introduced himself, never examined me. He said Ill order X-rays and give you a steroid shot. Computers werent working in the room so Patty wrote down my meds and some history. A little while later she came in with the discharge papers. Told me to put heat on it and take Advil or Tylenol for the pain. Calling it arthritis. Patty was just following her superiors orders but the doctor was a joke. Unprofessional at its worst. Extremely disappointed with lack of care. Still in awful pain and will follow up with my primary.

First time, I had to take an ambulance from my procedure at Mercyhealth Woodstock to here. I guess the Valium hit a little too hard even at the lowest dose. I denied bloodwork and fluids because I just wanted to sleep it off before taking the 40 minute ride back home. The doctor and nurse I had were really nice but the experience in the room was horrible. I didn't have an easy reach to the controller for a nurse button. My blood pressure cuff kept detaching causing the alarm to sound. The faucet went off randomly and would stay on for a minute. I didn't get a blink of a nap. 6 days later I realized I had an injury from that procedure and my OBGYN from NM Chicago would be able to help. I finally got an after hours call back and she said she wants an exam done but it's best to go to a Northwestern facility. The front desk and nurses were so quick to be rude. As in "mmkay, what are you checking in for" and "it's policy now put on your gown" without putting the blinds down in the window. Dr. Patel presented nice but all he did was touch the most sensitive organ and ask if that hurt. Of course it's going to hurt! He didn't take into consideration that I'm a SA survivor. He didn't bother about genuinely listening to me and looking for what my OBGYN wanted notes on. I had a feeling something like this was going to happen because women are never taken seriously. Both times I should've chose to go to Crystal Lake. I will never step foot on these grounds again.

The first nurse that came in. Didnt say anything. She brought in what looked like fluids and a iv and began working. No introduction no Im sorry youre not feeling well. She blew my vein, causing more pain. She was squeezing my arm in every direction to get the blood work done then ripped it out. I stopped her and asked whats happening. She said that we need to put another one in. I asked her your not saying anything and idk what youre doing. And for a different nurse. The second nurse was a charm. And the doctor that came in was pushing pain meds and narcotics on me. When if I dont take pills to begin with why would I start now. Not to mention I was dehydrated and couldnt eat because of stomach pain. I would have thrown that up if I would have taken that. But the response of Im willing to give you anything so you feel better, with narcotics is legit what will never make me step foot in that hospital again.
