The Cherry Tree Inn Bed and Breakfast

Weve stayed multiple times and we cant wait to go back! Love chatting with Lori and George about the history of the house and breakfast is amazing! Rooms are very cozy and love the view. Short walk to downtown area!

The rooms are beautiful and we stayed in the room with Bill Murrays view! The bed was so comfortable you just sink right into it , it's Soo fluffy and the pillows are so soft and very great for your neck! The shower was amazing they have jets that give your back the best massage! The owner women and her family are amazing and very welcoming definitely make you feel at ease and at home! I highly recommend staying here and we are definitely coming back! Soo much to look at inside and outside in the yard of the house!

I have stayed several times. Always met with a smile when checking in. George & Lori make you feel like you are coming home to visit family. Rooms are beautiful and each one his its own charm & character. The bathrooms are very clan and modern with an elegant contemporary touch. The food is top notch, and the coffee, what can be said about the coffee besides please put another pot on. Chances are you'll be walking out of there with a bag of your own since it's thst good! The breakfast was great, but the conversation with others staying there was a great way to start the day. Before you leave, make sure you sign & read the guest book. What an impressive list of folks who have stayed there! And each entry has a lovely story of the joy they had during their stay. If you have never stayed at a Bed & Breakfast, make this your fist one! The top tier treatment that Lori & George provide will spoil you, and set your expectations extremely high for any other B&B you may stay at in the future. But those others will leave you disappointed, and you will find yourself yearning to get back to the hospitality of the Cherry Tree Inn! I grew up in Wonder Lake, IL, but attended high-school in Woodstock, I left the area in 1997, but if I ever come back to town, the first place I try to get a room is with George & Lori at the Cherry Tree Inn! Rooms: The rooms are beautiful and each one has its own charm and character. Each room has an Alexa with music enabled. So if you just want to unwind & relax a bit with some calming music in the background, they have you covered! Nearby activities: The opera house, the Historic Woodstock square. There is never a shortage of activities that occur on the square, from music festivals, craft fairs, and I've even seen a wedding on the band stage. So make sure you take the time to visit the Square when staying at the Inn! Walkability: The historic Woodstock square is only a short easy 5 minute walk. There are several restaurants & pubs within waking dustance in the area that offer various types of dinning & drinking. The Chicago Metra station is about a 10 minute walk from the Inn across the the historic Woodstock square. If you are interested in theater the opera house is a cornerstone of the historic square and a great way to spend an evening. Food & drinks: Breakfast with George & Lori, it's hard to pick which item was best. I'm a bacon fan, and I can say finding a perfect piece of bacon is hard to come by, but Cherry Tree Inn nailed it every time! And the coffee, keep the coffee coming please. It's a wonderful blend, and it will leave you wanting to buy a bag to take back home with you. Noteworthy details: If you are a fan of the movie Groundhog Day, and honestly who isn't, you will fall in love with the movie items George & Lori have on hand. It is a rare experience when normal folks get to visit a movie set, much less sleep in the same house a movie was filmed in. I have even heard they have Danny Hayes' autograph. Most people may not know him from the movie, but he was the "young guy dancing with old lady" and he played that role with a masterful performance!
