Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital

I want to personally give a shout out to RN Molly D. I had an appointment today for an infusion and she was very attentive, sweet, and overall made me feel comfortable. Lately, Ive had bad experiences here but she restored my hope. Definitely need more of her energy and positive attitude.

I need to start this review by addressing Meg S. Meg you need to find a different job. These folks are making a fool of you. Giving the same benign useless response to some of the most horrific reviews Ive ever seen. Its obvious nothing intends to be done as review after review gives horror story after horror story. We all realize nothing is going to happen as a result of these reviews we are simply hoping to prevent others from having the same bad experiences we have had. The same idiotic response to every bad review does nothing to help the hospitals case. It merely reinforces how little the hospital cares about making a change. After having a loved one arrive at the ER after a severe car accident, we also experienced a despicable lack of caring from BOTH nurses we saw. One told my loved one they would be receiving a ticket because her car hit the car in front of her after she was rear-ended while fully stopped at a light. She was shown zero compassion and was in a great deal of pain. She has since been diagnosed with severe whiplash. The second nurse came in, offered her 2 Tylenol and yelled at her for holding onto the collar she had been put in. My loved one responded that it is was much less painful when she held it. The nurse then scolded her and told her she could die from doing that. Needless to say the CT scan they did revealed no broken bones so apparently she was not going to die from relieving the pain in her neck by holding the collar. The nurse then got very aggressive when my loved one asked for something stronger and accused my loved one of being aggressive. What?!?? BTW I was in the room for all of this. They never checked her ears to see if she was potentially leaking spinal fluid from the severe trauma, which might have actually killed her. As soon as we had a chance, we got out of there, letting the doctor know we felt safer taking her to Adventist LaGrange if needed, where we knew we could expect significantly better and more compassionate care.

If I could give a zero for their emergency room, I definitely would. Rude staff who care more about chatting with other staff members and security than the sick people in the waiting room. No communication with patients that have been waiting for hours. Taking people out of order and then lying about it to save face. Absolutely no care for those in their care. Watched a nurse be super rude to a woman who had broken her foot. She had been sitting since 1:30am (current time was 6am) and was asking the nurse who to ask where she was in line because she couldn't walk up to the front. Nurse said she just needed to wait (very rudely) and to not cause a problem! Ridiculous!

It was better when it was Central DuPage Hospital! Ive been waiting over 5 hour in the emergency room and havent been taken back to see a doctor. A staff member stated that its usually a 8 hour wait!!!

If you want to be misdiagnosed you should come here. Weve been to this hospital twice now and sent to other specialist that have told us they have no idea why we were diagnosed with that particular thing.
