Brielle brings warmth, encouragement, and peace to therapy sessions, while also gently and creatively challenging and directing to address the root of the problem. She adds a spiritual component that is life-giving, never burdensome, and always appropriate to the given context. She is a true gift and has much to offer clients with her presence and approach!

I started seeing Brielle Smith about 6 months ago while going through a difficult time. She has consistantly offered a listening ear, patience, and a space for me to explore my emotions. On many occasions she has offered a different perspective and helped me see aspects of myself in a new way. Therapy is never easy, but with the support I have received at Bristlecone, I know I am on my way to a healthier future.

Jake has helped save my marriage, navigate and overcome personal trauma and professional challenges in just 6 months. I honestly can't thank him enough and would recommend him to anyone that needs therapy. Even after challenging sessions, I always left feeling hopeful, better than before we spoke, and looking forward to our next session.

If you consider, "saving our marriage" from a divorce, "good therapy", then I guess you could say Jake has some skills / wisdom to possibly share with you. Thank you Jake, from the bottom of my heart, for the work you do and continue to do!

I have known Jake Johnson, founder of Bristlecone Therapy, for many years. My husband and I started seeing him for marriage counseling when we both saw that we were not communicating well with each other and struggling with parenting our children in a positive and loving manner. Jake has given my husband and I the tools we needed to handle the everyday speed bumps as well as the big curve balls kids and life can throw at you. As an ICU nurse he got us through the chaos that was my life while working COVID ICU and all of the PTSD I was living with in this post COVID world. He saw us via zoom for awhile, and now in person. No marriage is perfect, Jake helped me to see that, but with the right tools in your tool box you can manage any situation thrown your way. Thanks Jake.
