    My search for an insurance agent that was a good listener encompassed over 30 phone calls, dozens of repetitions of the same criteria I wanted, with every call ending in disappointment. Why? Because every agent only wanted to "sell me something." Then, Joseph Madda was recommended to me by a person (my father) at my Honda dealership. In the first call with Joe, I knew I had finally reached the right person. He was interested in me and my needs. He listened more than he talked. We made an appointment to talk further about specifics. During this second call, Joe had several possible solutions but requested a little time to design which ideas would best fit my needs. During our third call, Joe had carefully constructed a possible solution that met my coverage needs and my financial limitations. Having been in sales myself for over 50 years, I knew that a great salesperson never had to "ask for the sale" because during the solution solving process when all items are carefully put together, the customer will ask when and where to start the signing process. Which is what I promptly did. To say that Joe is a highly skilled and exceptional provider of customer service is an understatement.     Since moving from SC to IL in November of 2023, I had been seeking an insurance agent that understood customer service. All of the ridiculous internet ads asking you to fill out the details of what you are seeking are worthless. The sales people associated with these sites are impersonal, do not really listen to your needs, and do not do a good job of selling cost/benefits of insurance policies. I had bought a policy to assure I was covered immediately upon arrival in the Chicago suburb of Elmwood Park. The agent was impersonal and kept telling me that "...the price was the price..." (verbatim quote). Then, my son, an executive with Honda Motors-the Rohrman Auto Group, found Joe Madda. Joe has developed a relationship with Honda to serve dealers in the Greater Chicagoland area. From the minute I talked with Joe, I knew he was an exceptional person. He listened carefully, confirmed all of my "hot buttons," and then asked for several days to put together the best package available. I was glad that he needed a couple of days because that told me that he wasn't reaching into a "bag of tricks" to sell me a boilerplate policy. When Joe called me back, he had a couple of options and reconfirmed all my needs. I committed to his package on the spot. Not only was it the best package I had received from talking with over 15 different insurance companies/agents, it was also perfect for my budget. Once I was sold, Joe has continued to help me wade through all of the paperwork and intricate details of getting started. As the saying goes, "...you have to kiss a lot of frogs when searching for a salesperson that stands above the usual peddler..." Joe is a consummate sales professional who understands that he needs to listen first, build a good personalized product, and satisfy the needs of his potential client. Joe doesn't "ask for the sale," he "earns it." Anyone searching for insurance can save themselves a lot of grief by calling Joe first...because you simply aren't going to find anyone better.

He laid out multiple insurance policies with the differences & coverages among them all. He did not pressure me into choosing one over the other, but recommended the best policy for my family, which I really appreciated.

    We were contacted by David Mei following the purchase of a new vehicle. David was very kind and transparent in his effort to help us understand our insurance coverage. He stated that he would be honest about whether it made sense to switch companies or not. He compared our policies with Allstate policies, and was able to save us some money by switching. He also brought up some areas where we could benefit from more coverage than what our existing insurance company offered (ex. Covering sump pump failure in our newly-finished basement). Ultimately, we decided to make the switch because it felt like an asset to have an agent who would be available to help advise us and educate us on our insurance needs. He also spoke to us regarding the importance of having a living will and life insurance coverage. He took a good approach at making sure we had our bases covered. I appreciated his willingness to share his knowledge.
