Roland,The reason that you have not been provided with an itemized estimate that you have requested is simply because we do not recommend the procedure(s) in which you had requested from us to perform on your vehicle. Which is what we had told you on 09/08/2023 via email. You did not fully read our email response(s) as we had additional questions that we needed answered first before could even finish the labor quote. You only provided partial information on your own supplied part list link and your reasoning on not wanting to do the clutch/flywheel job as you wanted to teach a kid how to drive a manual vehicle. You wanted us to only address the leaking rear main seal, timing components and your oil pan but leave your existing clutch kit that is already slipping according to your own words. If that is the case then the flywheel is more than likely scorched due to a rear main seal leaking engine oil, which can or will create hot spots on the flywheel and can cause the clutch disc(s) to slip. That would require either a replacement flywheel, machining of the existing flywheel and or a new clutch kit. We explained that in our email responses as well. Also, depending on the condition of the clutch itself could result in it falling apart upon removal to even get to the rear main seal. That would also require a brand new clutch/flywheel kit. That is not rocket science. You then emailed us again on 09/26/2023 asking for additional services to be quoted on top of your original requests in which you stated that you have been shopping around elsewhere for. We recommend that you keep shopping around elsewhere unless you would like to address your clutch/flywheel situation. Once that has been addressed or will be by us, we would be more than glad to assist you and your vehicle. We focus on our customers that are in house, loyal and are serious inquirers.
