I used to really love this office. I haven't been for a few years. Called yesterday to make an appointment for my son. Ivy at the office explained that I could not do this. This was new to me and I explained that often I will make appointments for my fianc and she for me at other offices. Ivy explained this is a new policy set by Dr. Puthenveetil as they were experiencing no-shows. I told her I had been coming to their office for years and I would be happy to put down a deposit if needed. She called me back today and told me the deposit would be $250. I explained to her that my co-pay is no where near this and asked how I would receive the rest of my money back. She told me I would have to speak to billing lol. This whole scenario is just too much for me, I was a long-term patient not someone they just met. If she told me they would credit my card back after we showed up to the appointment it would have been one thing but the whole having to speak to the billing department was just silly. Funny enough an hour or so after the call, Ivy called me back again and asked for a different patient. When I explained she had mistakenly called my # she laughed! I like Peter and for the most part I feel he is a good doc, but his office staff needs training or an overhaul and their appointment making policy needs some work in my opinion.
