Both of our daughters were students at Da Vinci. The years of positive experiences there built a strong foundation for their futures. Their interest in life, the world, and people is remarkable. The school may not have all the bells and whistles of modern facilities, but the teachers, parents, and staff make it a place where students grow and love to learn.

Both of our children attend Da Vinci Waldorf School. One is in the grades and the other is in Kindergarten.  I cannot say enough good things about the well rounded education my kids are receiving at Da Vinci.  Waldorf has instilled such creativity and a deep love of learning in both of my children. They are not just learning facts and numbers. They are learning how to learn and how to think and do and create as well.  My favorite example is when my older child started reading.  He recently found a series of books he is just devouring.  But, on top of his voracious reading,  he is also applying the hands on skills he is learning at Waldorf by drawing his own images for the series and he is even now writing and binding his own stories.I am the owner of a technology company.  When I see my son and daughter learn a skill, then make the connection to roll up their sleeves and create something on their own, I get a big smile on my face and it shows me that they know how to apply the things they are learning.I know my kids (like all kids) have an innate passion and curiosity for learning and the Da Vinci Waldorf School is the perfect place to help it grow.

My wife and I have never looked back on our decision to send our two boys to Da Vinci Waldorf. Great school, great teachers.

My son started attending Da Vinci when he was three. He will be in the fifth grade next year. Finding this school was a life-changer for him (and for me.) We were fortunate to begin in the Parent-Child program, which helped me to gradually let go, while allowing him to ease into a school setting over time, at his own pace. It was exactly what we both needed. Though my intention when we began our journey at Da Vinci was to send him there only for preschool, I soon couldn't imagine sending him anywhere else for Kindergarten or grade school. This school is different, in all the right ways. The Preschool/Kindergarten setting is incredibly nurturing, safe, calm, with lots of play, lots of outside time, and a focus on letting a child be a child. In the grades, I love how the children learn by DOING. They don't simply hear or read about things, they roll up their sleeves and they DO it, whether it's go to the farm, perform community service, built a clay oven, build a structure while learning about homes, dig a hole, plant a garden, and so much more. It has been an amazing journey as a parent to see my child blossom into a confident, capable young man in an environment that focuses on freeing him of impediments and blockades to success. You won't find any standardized tests here. You will find lots of music, art of all kinds integrated into every subject, and a set of teachers that meet each child where he is and truly teach him from the inside out. We couldn't be happier!
