The Idea Store

Prices in the past couple of months have skyrocketed. They are charging $2 below market of a new set of colored pencils for a set that is two decades old. They are also charging $20 for very niche books from the 30s in horrible condition. Books that the Urbana free library has a hard time getting rid of themselves. Are they promoting recycling/reusing at this store or just insane profit margins? This has not always been the case with their pricing. Im not sure how prices like this support our community considering they receive these items for free and dont pay their employees much above minimum wage or offer them any benefits at this rate they are as greedy as goodwill. I used to love this place but after years of supporting Im not sure I will be returning or suggesting the idea store to my students.

The "Idea Store" is a perfect name for this establishment. Like the mind itself the inventory changes constantly. Every visit reveals a new surprise along with an idea:)

Great place to find all kinds of items for crafting, sewing, creative play, and so much more. Words just can't describe the wide selection of items which you can find here!

Large assortment of all kinds of items. Fun to search through bins and baskets and racks.

Kind people. Excellent selection of recycled/half used crafting materials. I look forward to shopping here all the time, and I have never been disappointed. In fact, I am always pleasantly surprised by my finds. Thank you, I.D.E.A. store!
