Best Western Troy Hotel

I enjoyed my stay at this location. The manager on duty was extremely helpful and polite, although we woke up at 6:00 a.m. and there was no breakfast available. I'm disappointed about that. Other than that it was a good stay

Needed a place to lay our heads for a night after a concert before heading on a business trip. Was ok. Probably won't stay again...but it was what I expected and was a convenient place on the way. Short staffed. Family operated. Front desk person was also making the breakfast. Not many towels in the room and the ones that were there were old and worn. Mattress was cheap and worn. But again, served it's purpose.

There was a bad hail storm the night I arrived to the hotel. I needed to get somewhere safe. The windshield and back window of the car was damaged. I realized that there was a leak in the bathroom room. All of my belongings were soaked. I was unable to move. The hotel knew of the leak and supposedly repaired it. However, they never checked to see if they did before putting a guest in the room. The night receptionist was extremely helpful. The morning staff seemed unconcerned and carefree.

The only thing decent was the bed was comfortable. The bath fixture was literally dangling and not affixed. The tile on the floor was broken. There was no hand soap provided when we arrived. The towels were so thin you could see thru them. They were so small I thought they were hand towels at first. The breakfast is not what the picture on the site displays. There were no pancakes, oatmeal, muffins, etc. The only food offered were biscuits and gravy, some cold cereal, and bagels. The toaster burnt half the bagel and didnt cook the other half. I saw multiple families trying to convince little ones to eat one of the few options available. I asked the front desk about the lack of food and they said that equipment was broken and they were out. It was 7:30am. I should have tried to cancel my reservation when I arrived and noticed there were only 5 cars in the parking lot on a Saturday night.
