Ill be very honest and say that my expectations were very low, but I was pleasantly surprised. Short: yeah in a pinch this works. Longer: You have to drive through a used car lot to get there a bit of an odd twist, but par for the course considering the city youre in. The exterior looks a bit ominous, but one inside the first thing youll notice is the pool.. but the staff is friendly and efficient, two qualities I appreciate in lobby staff. The elevator works fine up to floor two, but whines a bit going from floors 2 to 3. No issues besides audible strain. The rooms are surprisingly large and comfortable. You can tell money has fairly recently been put into modernizing the rooms. Theres even a USB C outlet by the nightstand! This was huge. Bathrooms were average. But I live in New York, so for the rest of the country theyre probably considered small. Breakfast was literally the same stuff you get at all hotels the rotation of scrambled eggs/bacon and suspicious omelet looking thing and sausages. The biscuits and gravy, there was just something off with it every day I ate it, but I doubt it was good for me. All in all, breakfast was 1 out of 10 stars. I would avoid it if I were you. Other than that, if you dont have a car youre in the middle of nowhere. Theres a gas station, fast food joints and a Texas road house in the general area. One note that I found a bit disturbing they never asked for ID when my key stopped working.. I always had it with me in my pocket, but the keys got demagnetized every day and yet they only asked for room number that made me feel very unsafe and I made sure to lock the doors Safety: 1 out of 10 stars. They dont ID you when your key stops working. Hoping management sees this. If not, lock your doors Walkability: Whole lot of nothing nearby. Gas station and a collection of fast food restaurants and chains.. pretty weak.
