I don't like to speak ill of others like this in public. I've been holding off making any public comments, but you deserve to be warned as a potential customer. Stay away from Stabilize and it's owner. Dishonest about professional licenses and certifications. Ask for proof first if you are still thinking of doing business. Claims to be a Professional Engineer. From the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation: "ordered to cease and desist the unlicensed practice of professional engineering." Mold remediation or related certifications? Checked with the certification organizations. Nope. Reputable contractors do not have the customer request work permits from the city. He did. Poor workmanship that if continued could have been dangerous to his crew and damaging to the house. Left the job unfinished, leaving holes in the yard and broken up sidewalk. Overcharged for incomplete work, and work accomplished that was not wanted by the home owner. It's unfortunate that we didn't learn about all of this until it was too late. Don't make the be same mistake. Don't let the Christian cross used in their logo let you think the owner will act in a trustworthy manner. Unprofessional and unacceptable behavior has been reported to officials. Details are not fit for a Google review that children might see. Customer tried mediation through the attorney general office only for customer to be ridiculed in writing to officials. Service: Remodeling

Upon the purchase of a new home that had basement water damage, we hired Stabilize to remediate any mold and fix the foundation cracks that were leading to the water damage. After the initial visit, we continued to see water leaking through the corrected cracks. For weeks we tried contacting the company owner for a follow up, and after 3 weeks, we were sent an employee to follow up and fix the still leaking cracks. Here we are a year later, and 3 separate visits to fix their initial repairs, and the only response that we have received from Mike is that they have been out too many times, and that the leaks are on us now. Lets disregard the 5 year warranty (yes, in writing in our contract) on any leaking crack repairs. Would recommend paying any other company for mold remediation and and sort of water damage/leak repair. We have brought in a second company to fix our water issues, and the response/effectiveness/communication has been immensely better.
