Unfortunately, a couple of their Hispanic counselors here are very difficult to understand, and they resent being asked to speak more slowly. Non-English speakers should be trained to speak and understand the language clearly since, after all, most of their clients are native-born English speakers. These two women show disdain for anyone who asks them to repeat something which they rushed through, and their overall approach to their work seems very lackadaisical and bored. Surely our tax dollars could be spent more wisely on people who are good at their jobs and really care about helping othersrather than just helping themselves.

Horrible state employees just concerned of their 50k pension lol smh. I had an overpayment (DURING COVID) that I paid IN FULL only to find out later that they had the wrong amount. They then owed me $45 bucks. Said it took 30-60 days to process && receive a check. Its now been almost 6months lol. Twice during that 6mos I contacted them for follow-up only to receive the run-around responses about my $45. Finally today a case worker stated that its in process but will not be a check but returned in food stamps. WHY LIE!? Illinois is so money hungry and scamish its SAD. Like in the beginning when I was alerted to the overpaid $45, I didnt care how the $45 was returned as long as I got it. They told me a check so thats what I expected. I guess they have run out legit money since then (ie. recent elections lol) so I guess illinois needs the $45 cash now. But that fact that you all really delayed service over $45 shows how the government is never really on your side. Blessed to be able to pay in full; but mark my words. I WILL CONTINUE to call until my $45 is returned to my possession. EBT or check #InGodITrust cause #UnitedWeDontStand
