Buyer Beware! I contacted Sangamon Insurance to insure my home and auto. My auto was insured for a year. Near the end of the year, I received a notice that I was fined for not having insurance on the vehicle. I supplied my proof of insurance card from this agency to the motor vehicle department. The motor vehicle department said this was an incorrect proof of insurance as the vehicle information was wrong. I went to check the VIN on my vehicle to the card and it was wrong. I called this agency and they stated they will not be issuing a corrected card as this is the VIN on their paperwork. So even though I have only owned one vehicle with this make and model, they would still not correct it. Even the department of motor vehicles realized it was an error since the vehicle on my insurance card was one owned and registered in Canada (a place I did not even visit during this period, much less ever live). In short, this agency would rather insure a vehicle not owned by their insureds than correct an insurance card.
