Hampton Inn & Suites Springfield-Southwest

Wow! It may be my expectations of Hamptons are so low because Ive had a number of meh and worse experiences BUT this hotel was a wonderful surprise. Clean. Friendly. Good bed. Pet friendly. Fabulous breakfast and happy hour. Reasonable rate. Not sure what more we can ask for. Great place to stop on your way to or from anywhere.

The lobby was great. The pool area was suspect. Rooms were circa 1998. We in the tourism industry call this place tired. Ripped chairs. Banged up furniture. Very dirty bathroom. KIDS...don't touch the microwave!! Rooms: Dirty. Very old Hampton floorplan. Gross. Nearby activities: There is a camping world across the street with campers that are more spacious. Safety: Rooms left propped open all night across the hall Walkability: I wouldn't try it. Food & drinks: Breakfast was the best part of this place. Standard Hampton stuff, but well stocked and everything was hot.

The room exceeded our expectations. Very clean, smells good. We had an issue with the TV, and they delivered a new remote in just a few minutes. Within easy walking distance to restaurants.
