I love this Post Office. Everyone is friendly, professional. I lived in The city for 5yrs and Never received the exceptional treatment like here. It’s usually not that busy when I go in… I also love that I can speak to someone about my passport renewal, they have their own separate window. Love Skokies Post office!

In January I sent a package to Austria. Address on the package and on my custom declaration note it says AUSTRIA but because the clerk put in their system Australia, my package was sent to AUSTRALIA. What is even worse is the unwillingness of this office to help retrieve my package because of THEIR MISTAKE. 2 weeks after I sent the package I went to check with the post office what is going on, but because it was in transit I was told “there is nothing they can do”. But for the next 2 months my package sat “in transit” in one of the usps facility in Chicago and was sent to Australia only in March. Where it sits nice and cozy with kangaroos for the last 4 months because the Skokie post office it’s not doing anything to retrieve it. The supervisor hides in the back sending the clerk with “consumers affairs” phone numbers. At those numbers nobody answers and if u leave a VM nobody calls u back. Shame on you! I can’t wait for the day that USPS will go out of business.

Lost letters and packages for last months. Awful service. Complained on official USPS site, but it doesn't make sense.
