ERIK'S - Bike Board Ski

The Oak Brook, IL store is occupied by incompetent staff. I purchased a bike over the weekend and declined the floor model that was visibly damaged. Malcom said he would order another and it would arrive on Thursday. On Tuesday I received a text from the store that the bike was ready for pickup. I called to confirm it was a new bike and not the floor model, Ryan confirmed it was a new bike transferred from another store. Feeling something was amiss on Wednesday I called again and was told, yes it is a new bike and it is ready. I then arrived at the store in the afternoon to be told by Malcolm that there was a mistake and the floor model was the one ready. That is how this store does business and how the staff treats customers. I will shop at a real bike store like Kozy's Cyclery where I have purchased in the past. Stay away unless you want to be lied to and treated with zero respect. By the way, they did nothing to address their blunder or apologize for wasting my time. They deserve ZERO stars. UPDATE: 6/28/23, I thought I would give this business another shot and went to the Skokie, IL store to discuss my experience with the manager Toan Takahara. He was very apologetic and expressed great concern over my experience which led me to purchase my bike at this store. The experience was the polar opposite of the one I had at the other store and I am grateful for his professionalism and outstanding customer service. Mr. Takahara is the epitome of stellar customer service and how to put the customer first when conducting business.

Brought my bike in to have the handlebars wrapped and my extra set of tires sealed. Service was completed happily and quickly.

The team at Erik's quickly diagnosed the issue with the bike and was able to fix it quickly. I will definitely be back.
