Hotel itself was very nice and the price just made it even better. Only issue is a maid walked right in and scared my daughter then took off quickly. Overall great stay

Let's face it, you're here for the waterpark. You're not getting into the waterpark. The hotel has way more capacity than the waterpark does, we stood in line before it even opened to get tickets and were denied entry. No mention of that on the website. I don't know if I'd consider this more of a scam or just really poor management, but either way there's no way I'm ever coming back here, and I suggest you don't waste your time either.

The rooms were decent but outdated. The furniture, and bathrooms need to be updated. They had a DVD player in the room. Who uses DVD players. They should have smart tv's in the rooms. The location is 20 - 30 mins from anywhere.

The hotel is dated and in need of a refresh. The TV is no bigger than 32 inches. Power outlets are few and usually require you to unplug something to free one up. You do get a small kitchen, but the location of the Hotel provides no grocery stores or gas stations open past 7p. They do not have single rooms with King beds. You would have book a 2 bedroom suite to get a king bed. It doesn't have a gym or fitness area. If it's not the summer time then I do not recommend staying here. Only thing to do is the indoor water park which is only open Fri-Sun during off season months.
Room service has not happened once during my stay of one week. They only give you 1 small trashcan in the bathroom. When people check is when the rooms get serviced, but bags of laundry and trash are left in the hallway for someone to pick up at a later time. This causes little room to walk in the hallway.
Ottawa IL is only 20 minutes down the road and has much more to offer.
Rooms: Dated, do not offer King Bed rooms for Solo travelers. Power outlets are hard to come by.
Nearby activities: Other than the Indoor Water Park which is only open on the weekend during off season months. There are zero things to do without driving to the neighboring town of Ottawa.
