I was happy with my son's ACT scores. He was not happy to work with all tutors, but loved his math teacher who raised his score to a 33.

This Huntington Learning Center's SAT prep did not meet my expectations. My child's tutoring sessions have only consisted of reading out loud from a very standard SAT prep book with the only difference being the Huntington name. I would recommend finding alternative tutoring methods that are more individualized because their methods do not focus specifically on what my student really needs to work on. I have grown increasingly frustrated because the are having my son work on remedial math and reading the structure of the SAT when he has taken Algebra II and PSAT tests throughout high school. Overall, I would recommend finding individualized SAT prep elsewhere.

I think they need to redo how they do their evaluation. I think 3 hours for an elementary child to sit and do a bunch of paperwork is a little much. Was basically told he was behind on everything and we need to come in 2 days a week and then 4 days in the summer. A little pushy on when we should start (even though we said we would contact them in a few months, this was before we decided not to go there). When his teacher read over his evaluation, she agreed he’s not behind like they say he is.

On the first day of tutoring, the owner of the facility was not very clear about what was going to happen. My son needs help in math. I feel the facility has a very low budget since the owner is also the receptionist. When I finally found out the plan for my son and met the tutor, I was very underwhelmed. For $60/hr, I want to be excited about the process. I'm going to look into Kaplan.

My son took the Huntington Learning Center - Rockford ACT Prep Course and raised his initial score by five points!
