Glaucoma Associates of Illinois

I have been treated for glaucoma for many years. My doctor who I had a long and friendly relationship with retired a couple years ago and he refered me to Dr Rahman. I was a bit apphensive about seeing someone new and it took a few visits to get comfortable with Dr Rahman and realize how professional and caring he was. Recently I woke with bad pain around my right eye and as the day went on my vision was very poor.I was at Dr Rahmans office when opened the next day. He took me in immediately and determined I had a very serious infection and needed immediate treatment at U W Madison Dr Rahman and his staff were on the phone contacting the doctor and staff at UW and they were waiting for me and treated me immediately. If not for Dr Rahmans quick action. I would have lost the sight in the eye. I cannot be more Thankful for what he did for me that day and for the care he has given since then

The doctor himself is great. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because every single time I've had to talk to the receptionist, she's had a horrible attitude. She had one even calling me for my appointment with the referral. She had one when I had to reschedule because I was in the hospital for my eye. Then when I asked if there was anything sooner because of what's going on with my eye, she huffed and said I should have kept my original appointment. I was literally hooked up to IV antibiotics and stuck in the hospital.. what would she have liked me to do?

Im very thankful for such a warm family environment when you walk in and not treated just as a patient but like family. If it wasnt for the wonderful staff and especially Dr Rahman, I wouldnt be as comfortable and willing to see him for my glaucoma meeds! So thank you Glaucoma Associates of Illinois for being such a wonderful establishment and I wish I can give 20 stars for being so accommodating and for all youre hard work and the best staff and Dr in the world

I was nervous coming in for the first time but the staff was so friendly and the Doctor was so nice he explained everything to my understanding.
