Very friendly great landlord he just wants his money on time it's his lively hood he have to live also so I get it when i call need things fix it gets done rent is decent not over priced I recommend people all the time

This is a family owned business that I found to be extremely professional, have great customer service, and very quick to get back to you. It generally felt they cared about finding a unit that is right for your lifestyle. If you're looking for a rental property in the Rochelle, DeKalb, or Sycamore area, I highly recommend you give them a call.

We were renting a duplex from another landlord who had to sell it. We received a letter from Seldal in April telling us all will remain the same, just fill out the application so they have our information on file. That was in April. Our rent was $600 a month, which fit our budget, since I am disabled and husband is on SS. Then at the VERY end of May they dropped off a new lease showing that our effective date of 6/1 and the new rent was $850! We had no time to find affordable housing and no where to go. We were stuck signing the new lease. We have been struggling since June to pay all our other necessities: Medical, Food, Gas, etc. What Seldal did was sneaky and underhanded. As a property manager he should have realized (based on our application) that we do not make enough to live here at $850. NOTHING remained the same. He could have increased it by $100, not $250. He is greedy and does not care about his residents. He's only in it for the money. We are very angry that he put us in this position. We are looking for other housing that will fit our budget, but need to go to income-based housing - and there are waiting lists to get in everywhere! We are going to have to move away from our friends and church. And neither of us can pack or move anything due to our physical limitations. And hiring movers is way too expensive, Living on a fixed income does not afford us the chance to save for moving expenses. Brian is uncaring. He put us in a very stressful situation. VERY UNHAPPY!
