room smelled fresh and clean, bed was soft and clean with newer pillows and sheets. employees are always really nice and its in a safe area

Decent hotel. If you are looking for a place to sleep for a decent price, this is what you are looking for. The room I checked out is what I'd call a standard king room. Bed, two tables and lamps, desk, tv, microwave and fridge. The sink was next to the door and toilet and bath in the bathrooms. However the walls were thin, I could easily hear my neighbor talking and watching a very loud movie. Also the corridor smelled like cat litter. But after my neighbor went to bed I could easily go to sleep. However the locks were iffy, the lights were on a timer and they went off when I was taking a bath :( and there was a gambling casino game section near the front door...which is a positive or not is up to you. Front desk was very nice and helpful, and the pillows were very nice too.

The hotel itself is definitely outdated, but will do the job if youre planning a brief stay. Not worthy of a vacation stay. There is cable tv which is ok, but no options for streaming, which is outdated. Could hear every word the neighbors in the room next to me were saying. Every flush of the toilet or shower being run in the surrounding rooms was surprisingly loud. Room was a little dirty, but had minimal cleaning done, so it wasnt totally filthy. Bed was terribly uncomfortable. Like sleeping on the boxspring itself. The shower pressure is so high that the tub will fill with water while showering if it isnt turned down. The tub was stained or dirty - I wouldnt want my kids sitting in it to bathe. Id probably ask for something to clean it with myself or have my child stand to wash & then get out. The snack & supply area by the front desk was running low. There was a sign in the hall for ice & vending, but all I could find was the ice. So I guess all of the snacks/drinks that were available were the ones in the snack/supply area by the front desk. The breakfasts were good (waffles/biscuits & gravy) but the eggs were rubber. Sausage was ok. Milk was kept cold. Would most likely choose a different hotel if I were to visit the area again. Nearby activities: Theres a Walmart and several small restaurants nearby. Theres a diner right next door that can be walked to & the food is pretty good there. Most of the shopping would probably take place in DeKalb (about 30 mins away)
