Golfview Village Apartments

We have been looking for an apartment for my daughter going to UIUC. We have set up and gone on a few 'tours' elsewhere, some have never even bothered to reply. After setting up to look at a Unit at Golfview Village, we had the fortune opportunity to deal with a representative named Joey. He was patient having to reschedule due to school/work conflicts with my daughter. She finally met with him while I was on a call with her due to my inability to meet in person. Joey could not have been more informative or helpful! Every question, and yes, there were quite a few, he answered professionally and honestly. This has been completely opposite to what we had dealt with at prior establishments. All others could not give 2 cr@ps about providing relevant information. Joey carried on a nice conversation with my daughter talking about his experiences living there himself. While she has not even moved in yet, the initial experience has been great! The application and lease process has been easily and thoroughly explained. The website has a great 3d app to get a perspective of the layout and able to measure spaces. The price is highly competitive for the size and quantity. Thank you!

I just recently moved into Golfview Village this past week and so far things are going great! The application and move in process was made super easy by Abby, who has been nothing but amazing! Heres to a new lease!

Hate to say it but if they dont want you to stay there (for whatever reason(s)) theyll find an ill-logical reason for them to deny (e.g. its something wrong with your rental history and its not lol or your job is too far away.. thats crazy lol). Discrimination maybe?

i was referred to this apartment company by my friend whos caucasian . i was around for her whole apartment process and they only want her check stubs background check and a credit report . her process was short and easy i also make twice as much as my friend by the way.. . fastforward . last week i applied with golfview village. first off let me say they were super super nosey like illegally nosey . i felt like they were discriminating against me because im an african american woman . first off they wanted two years of tax returns . the FULL PACKET . by me being self employed that was a bit sketchy because usually you only need the most recent tax return to prove your income . after passing the background check and everything else they needed for me to qualify they just kept adding more requirements that werent on the website : EVEN after i passed a credit check and background check they then proceeded to tell me i had to hook up my bank account so they could see my income after i had already submitted my bank statements . my income is more than enough to afford the apartment and my background is clean as well . these people gave me the run around for absolutely no reason : everything was fine until i submitted my id photo and my documents .. then they proceeded to tell me i would need a cosigner for my income to equal 5x the rent AND THAT cosigner would need a good landlord reference .. how are you in a college town full of college kids who are most likely looking for their first apartment how are you expecting them to make 5x the rent and have a cosigner . i was utterly disgusted . since when do you need to make 5x the rent to quality for an apartment? yet alone one that costs 650$ : my income is about 2000$ a month from my day job without even adding the other incomes i have . it was absurd .
