        I find Dr Lyon to be extremely through , not only for the hip/knee but through and concerned about other health issues his patient has. Highly recommend him

        Dr. Lyon is excellent and very detailed in everything he does including surgery. My success for knee replacement rested in his hands. Everything is followed for a successful outcome. He believes in one day surgery and going home. However he acknowledged my insistence on time in hospital and going for rehab with excellent physical therapy for 9 days followed by in home therapy and outpatient therapy. Following all his exercises done several times daily....my healing goal and release from him occurred the day after four months after surgery. I have to note that at 85 years old I was determined to reach that goal through determination and perseverance in doing what I was required to do . I highly recommend Dr. Lyon to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.

Dr. Lyon completed his medical education at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, and fulfilled his internship and residency program at Northwestern University, McGaw Medical Center. He completed his fellowship training in Adult Reconstructive and Joint Replacement Surgery at Rush University Hospital.Dr. Lyon has over 20 years of orthopaedic experience and has held positions at prestigious organizations including Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit Michigan and Advocate Lutheran General in Park Ridge, IL. Dr. Lyon is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons.In addition to his practice, Dr. Lyon is committed to researching and advancing the field of orthopaedics. He has received many awards including the Leonard Marmor Surgical Arthritis Foundation Award for Outstanding Research Contributions in Total Joint Arthroplasty.Dr. Lyon and his wife have four children who share in his love of sailing.
