I worked with Patti for well over eight months and she kept coming back for more! I havent owned a home in well over 15 years, Patti was patient and listened to what I wanted and was honest about what I was looking for. She was always there for me, picked up the phone whenever I had a simple question. Answered the same questions in emails regularly in a prompt fashion. Walked me through countless showings pointing out the good and the bad of each unit. She has a nose like no other and can smell mold and water moisture instantly. Patti was always on time, actually early for our showings. I finally settled on one and Patti was readily available for more questions when it came to the mortgage/appraisers etc. part as well as sat with me at closing to make sure everything went the way she told me it would. I would definitely use Patti again and would recommend to anybody. She is great!

And from the other side, if Patti is your buyers agent watch out. She will do anything large or small to torpedo the sale. She left our home unlocked after a showing and blamed others for it. She claimed at the final walk thru that there was a gas leak but didnt alert anyone to the danger. Hmmm. The post inspection demands will be multiple pages. And dont relax once you finally get an agreement, you might get a pre-closing date renegotiation just for fun. Just for context we are referencing a sale to buyers who were not hesitant, who bid over asking price on our high demand property immediately upon seeing it and who were still hoping for it after another bidder stepped away.. Not a problem property. Unbelievable ordeal. Very stressful person to deal with. And if you are a little nervous about buying a home you will be more so working with her. However, if you are the kind of person who likes drama and would hire a killer lawyer for family court, I think she might be your kind of person. Im gonna believe the buyers are largely innocent of this drama and hope they have a beautiful time in their super beautiful new historic home.

Patti was the realtor for the people who sold us our last house. We were so impressed that we used her when we sold it 9 years later. She is VERY knowledgeable, especially in the area of pitfalls. Probably the best example involved timing. We were planning to put our house on the market in June of 2022 -- Patti pushed for sooner, and we went under contract just before rates went crazy and the prices started to fall. She literally made us thousands of dollars (we wound up going under contract in 2 days, for $5,900 over list). She was also a very big advocate for our interests with the buyers' realtor. We highly recommend Patti! Couldn't be more pleased.

I have used Patti Sprafka Wagner for buying or selling three different Oak Park properties, the first two in 2004 and most recently, in the sale of our beloved vintage Arts & Crafts home in Oak Park in 2022. Patti is a complete pro in every sense of the word. Her comps were incredibly thorough and she has an encyclopedic memory of every available property in the western suburbs that she services (especially Oak Park, River Forest, and Forest Park).
