OSF Medical Group - Primary Care

I was looking for a primary care here in bloomington and my friend recommended Kim Nord. I think she is okay and knowledgeable so I was happy on my first visit. She recommended for me to have an ultrasound and mammogram as I am over 40 yrs old, someone contacted me from OSf at college and set me up an appointment. It wasnt my fault that they do this tests at this hospital which is Im fine wherever. After doing the tests I suddenly was billed for $2,374 and $491. I was billed for multiple amounts in just one visit. My insurance is willing to cooperate but osf are pointing fingers to each other and even hang up on the insurance representative. The insurance said call osf billing and have them change the coding and billing said call your doctor to have it change and Nord said it wasnt me, its osf. I am not rich to have this high charges. I kept calling them and as usual like a tennis ball keep on passing me to someone else. Dont know what to do. Maybe I will have to consult a lawyer because in the first place when I did this tests I was okay, no pain or symptoms because it tool awhile to do these tests. I thought its just for routine check ups no one explained this to me.

If you want Dr Jones to treat you like a dog and yell at you. Sad that Ive been a patient here since I was 5 and I had to move to a different provider.

I cant say enough positive things about this office. The secretary Breanne is very helpful and always greets me when I come in. The most recent time I came in to see Dr. Kenney, I was so impressed with my MOA Jamie. She was so friendly and really made me feel welcomed. She introduced herself and was both compassionate and professional. I asked her what MOA stood for on her name tag, and she kindly explained it meant medical office assistant. It was nice feeling like I just ask a question as she was easily approachable. I was brought back quick after I checked in and Dr. Kenney was in right after Jamie left. The nurse Eric checked me out and took my blood. He was very sweet and did a wonderful job with my stubborn veins. If you are looking for a primary care provider you need to come here!!
