Larry and Debbie have been very difficult to work with as their first real tenant. If you give them an inch of kindness, they will take a mile. Property itself is old and has some degradation, but in a very nice location and certainly livable.
The main maintenance contractor they use is good, but see the images of our the air ducts months after we requested maintenance on them. They had an inspection done and blamed our use of candles to justify the issues experienced. I can't make this up.
Guard your deposit, as they intend on charging you for everything. They do not understand or allow 'normal wear and tear' and don't seem to even be reading the same lease. We offered to work with them on repairing some wear. However somehow offering to patch some paint spots and a $250 hardwood fix has turned into a demand for almost $3000.
This includes almost $2000 to repaint the entire apartment, including painting ceilings, trim, and moving appliances. We had to get a lawyer, we do not recommend working with the current landlords.
